child Dental Benefit Scheme
The child dental benefit scheme is a government scheme that provides up to $1095 in benefits over two consecutive years. It covers basic general dental services for children aged 17 years or younger, and who are eligible. Out of pocket costs will only apply if the limit for your child is reached, or if the procedure required is not covered by the scheme. You may check your child’s eligibility via the MyGov application, or by calling Medicare directly.

Your dentist will then discuss with you their findings and recommendations, followed by a quotation for any further treatment as required.
