Gum Treatment

At Fairfield Dental House, we highly value the importance of optimal gum health on the overall support and long-term maintenance of your teeth. Some individuals may be more susceptible to gum disease based on their family history, medical history and lifestyle factors (such as smoking). During your initial consultation/check-up we will assess the health of your gums and perform a comprehensive periodontal assessment as required. We will then provide recommendations for either deep cleaning at our practice, or referral to a gum specialist.

This is a procedure separate to a professional scaling/debridement, it involves either single teeth, or multiple teeth in the same region of the mouth at once. This procedure is designed to remove the built-up plaque and calculus underneath the gums. By doing so, it helps reduce pocket depth, prevent gum detachment, and promote healing of the gingiva, which supports your teeth.
