At Fairfield Dental House we pride ourselves on providing continuous high-quality care for the whole family. We recommended six monthly check-ups and cleans to ensure that any issues are properly identified and managed before they turn into painful and costly problems.
During your first visit to our practice, we will spend time taking photos, X-rays and digital scans to diagnose and highlight any concerns with your teeth. Our friendly team will discuss with you the options and the costs, and create a personalised plan to achieve your healthiest smile. You can count on our team to manage any anxiety or stress you may have about your appointment, and trust they will make you feel comfortable and well looked after.
As part of our six-monthly checkup and clean appointments, we also perform a professional debridement of the teeth, followed by a polish and fluoride treatment.

We encourage children and young adults to come into our practice for regular checkup and cleans. We often recommend starting from as early as 2 years old so that we may establish a positive relationship between your child, their oral health, and the dental team.
We look forward to watching kids develop from their childhood dentition to a full set of adult teeth. Our team will ensure they learn the optimal brushing techniques to maintain good oral health for the future, and help familiarise them with our dental surgery, tools and procedures. These formative years are a good time to detect and manage any issues related to the development of the jaw, and eruption of the adult teeth. We also encourage children and young adults to regularly visit us during their orthodontic treatments for regular cleaning and polishing.

At Fairfield Dental House, we are just a call away whenever you have a toothache, whether it is sensitivity to hot or cold, a general ache, or jaw pain. We offer a variety of tests and scans to diagnose the source of your pain. From there, we will discuss costs and treatment options to manage the pain effectively.

From time to time you may find a tooth or filling has chipped or broken away. When this happens, we will discuss with you the options available to treat and manage the chip/fracture. This may include smoothing the chipped portion, or replacement of the broken portion with a filling. It may also include discussion of a partial or full coverage crown to provide protection and support. Depending on the extent of the fracture, we may also need to discuss more advanced options such as root canal therapy, or extraction and replacement of the tooth.
-
At Fairfield Dental House, we value the role of technology, dental X-rays and intra-oral testing in our diagnosis and treatment of decayed teeth. More often than not, we will recommend a composite resin (white-coloured) restoration or lab-fabricated restoration (porcelain, gold or zirconia) to restore decayed teeth. If the decay is significant, your dentist will often discuss with you the risks, and might explore the need for root canal therapy or extraction accordingly.
-
At Fairfield Dental House we offer custom fabricated mouthguards for use with high contact sports. We often recommend this to reduce the risk of trauma, fractures and dislodgement of teeth. Your dentist will take a digital scan of your teeth, and have your mouthguard fabricated by a local dental laboratory. We have the option to personalise your mouthguard with preferred colours, as well as a name and phone number.

Grinding and clenching of the teeth can be a highly risky issue that can lead to pain, and/or cracks and fractures in the teeth or restorations. Your dentist may recommend for you to have a night guard made to provide protection to the teeth from the effects of grinding and clenching. At Fairfield Dental House, we work closely with specialists and will help you determine whether more extensive investigation and treatment beyond a night guard is required.

Through normal ageing and wear of the teeth, we often see cracks present themselves. These cracks may occur without causing any pain, or may give you pain on biting, or eventually fracture/aching/swelling/etc. During our routine examinations, we will highlight any cracks seen, and provide you with options including a crown or band reinforcement. We will also take photos to visually track the appearance of any cracks over time.
